Mr. Nasser Khalifa Al-Budoor is the assistant undersecretary for International Relations and Health Affairs at the MoH, Director of the Minister of Health Office and member of the Executive Board of Health Ministers' Council for Cooperation Council States. He is also, the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Noor Dubai Foundation, Head of the Visiting Consultant Program Committee for UAE and Secretary General for the UAE Federation of Boxing and Judo. In addition, Mr. AL-Budoor is a member of the WHO Executive Board Selection Panel for the UAE Health Foundation Prize.

Mr. Al-Budoor has over 20 years of experience in public health issues, international health, healthcare economics, health policy, health legislation changes, health promotion and diseases prevention, health management development, as well as building collaboration between international and national public health agencies.

It is of note that Mr. Al-Budoor has played a remarkable role in the declaration and certification of UAE as a free from Malaria country as well as in eradicating poliomyelitis from UAE through execution of International Health Regulations. In addition, Mr. AlBudoor has been a key figure who played a major role in coordination and cooperation with the Eastern Mediterranean region of the World Health Organization in the fight against preventable blindness as well as organizing many international and national conferences and meetings in this aspect.

In addition to his role in the Ministry of Health, he has been in charge of Medical Tourism and actively involved in promoting it since 1995 in the UAE. In this regard, he has been a keynote speaker at several occasions about Medical Tourism and its potential impact of evidence-based standards on benefits for enrollees and health economics in the UAE.

On a humanitarian level, Mr. Al-Budoor headed many missions of the UAE evacuation team for Bosnian war related injuries.

Abdulfattah Sharaf is the Chief Executive Officer, United Arab Emirates, and a Board Member of HSBC Bank Middle East. Prior to his appointment as CEO UAE, he was the CEO Personal Financial Services, Middle East and North Africa, and responsible for all of HSBC’s Retail Banking business in the MENA region.

Before joining HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, Abdulfattah was Chief Executive Officer of NBD Securities, a subsidiary of Emirates NBD, in terms of Assets the largest financial conglomerate in the Middle East. During his 13-year career with Emirates NBD, Abdulfattah held a number of executive and senior positions in business development and operations including a being a board member of Al-Watani Al-Islami and Emirates NBD Securities.

Abdulfattah is currently a board member of Noor Dubai Foundation, Network International, an advisory board member of HDG Mansur – USA and a member of Young President Organisation (YPO).

Abdulfattah graduated from the University of Denver, USA with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in political science and a minor in special education.

Mahmoud Ahmed AlMarzouqi

Mr. Mahmoud ALMarzouqi has been involved in media since he graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Mass Media (TV & Radio) from the University of the United Arab Emirates. His professional experience began as an Editor and News Correspondent followed by the Editor-In-Chief of Emirates News. He then headed the Emirates News Department until his current position being the Deputy Head of the News Centre in Dubai TV.

Mr. Al Marzouqi had participated in numerous conferences and events media-related that took place in Dubai.

Dr. Manal Omran Taryam, MD
Consultant Ophthalmology Department

Dr. Manal Taryam, graduated from the Dubai Medical college in 1997. She joined The Department of Health and Medical services for her internship and earned a scholarship from the Ministry of higher education and the Government of Dubai to continue her medical education in Germany. In 1999, Dr. Manal joined the Ophthalmology residency program at the University of Cologne in Germany and graduated in 2005, she then continued her fellowship at the Retina Department.

Dr. Manal Taryam returned to the UAE in 2006 to work at the Dubai Health Authority in the Ophthalmology department , in 2007 she was elected president of the Emirates Ophthalmic Society and participated in organizing many educational and awareness campaigns as well as conferences including the annual Vision X, and the Emirates Ophthalmology Conference (EOC). Dr. Manal is currently working with an international faculty to coordinate the scientific program for the World Ophthalmology Congress 2012.

She is the founder of the Emirates Ophthalmology subspecialty Clubs which include, Emirates Cataract & Refractive Surgery Club (ECRS), Emirates Retina Club (ERC), and most recently Emirates Women in Ophthalmology (EWO).

She is board member at the Middle East & Africa Council of Ophthalmology, and a founder member and Secretary General of the Middle East & Africa Vitreo-Retina Society (MEAVRS). Faculty member at the Middle East & Africa Council Leadership development program.

Dr. Manal Taryam was appointed member of the board of Trustees and CEO of the Noor Dubai Foundation, an NGO founded by HH SHK Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for global prevention of blindness.

During this short period, Dr. Manal Taryam received many awards, she is twice the recipient of SHK. Rashid award for academic achievements, in 1997 and 2006. She received the Dubai Government Excellence Program award for excellence in government performance 2006, category for Distinguished Female Employee. She is a graduate of the Middle East and African Council of Ophthalmology leadership development program 2007.
